CLOSET CATALOG · PRIVACY

Your catalog is yours.

Effective August 27, 2026. Closet Catalog is designed to work without an account, advertising, analytics, or a developer-operated database.

Information we collect

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. Closet Catalog contains no analytics SDK, advertising SDK, tracking technology, or developer server.

Information stored on your device

Your item records, categories, outfits, notes, and photos are stored in Closet Catalog’s private app storage on your device. Photos you take in the app are not added to your Photos library. If you import a photo, Closet Catalog copies it into its private storage so it continues to work if you later remove the original from Photos.

iCloud sync and backups

iCloud sync is optional and available only after you choose to enable it. When enabled, Closet Catalog writes your catalog and recovery points to a private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. Other Closet Catalog users cannot access that database, and MMP Studio does not operate or have access to it.

Apple processes iCloud data according to Apple’s own privacy practices and your Apple Account settings. You can turn off iCloud sync in the app or in iOS settings. You can also export a complete archive yourself at any time after unlocking Pro.

Camera and Photos permissions

Closet Catalog requests camera access only when you choose to take an item photo and Photos access only when you choose to import a photo. These permissions are not used for any other purpose.

Purchases

Apple processes in-app purchases, subscriptions, purchase history, refunds, and payment details. Closet Catalog reads Apple’s verified transaction entitlement on your device to decide whether Pro features are unlocked. We do not receive or store payment-card information.

Diagnostic logs and exports

A diagnostic log is created only when you choose to export it. It contains timestamps, event categories, and result codes, not your catalog content or file paths. An archive is created only when you choose to export one. Any file you share is handled by the destination you select in the iOS share sheet.
